Hakan Demirtas is an Associate Professor of Biostatistics in the School of Public Health. He received his B.S. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bogazici University (Istanbul/Turkey), M.B.A degree from University of South Alabama and Ph.D. degree in Mathematical Statistics from the Pennsylvania State University.
Hakan's research interests include stochastic simulation, statistical
computing, statistical distribution theory, random number generation,
missing data, multiple imputation, incomplete multivariate data,
longitudinal data, Bayesian computation.
Hakan likes what he does, and does what he likes. Given his abiding
passion, unwavering commitment and relentless
marching towards a better understanding
of what science is all about, he will never
retire.
