Kim is a graduate student in the
School of Public Health at UIC in pursuit of his second Ph.
D. degree in Biostatistics. He received his first Ph.D. in
Economics from Northern
Illinois University in Dekalb, IL in 1992. With his specialty
in Econometrics and Industrial Organization he published
papers in the
areas of ‘Efficient Industry Structure’ and ‘Computing
the Optimum Number of Firms.’
In Korea he worked as a senior
researcher in the industry division of the Ssangyong Economic
Research Institute and forecasted Korea’s industrial products
such as steel, cement and auto parts. The research projects
he took part
in included projects sponsored by the Korean Government and
various pharmaceutical companies.
As a data manager and statistical
analyst
at the Center for Health Statistics he is currently working
on the research project, ‘Study in the Comparable Rates of
Diabetes Among Antipsychotic Agents.’ |
