Ronald Thisted has been a faculty
member in the Department of Statistics
at the University of Chicago since 1976, and since 1999 he has
also chaired the Department of
Health Studies, which is the home for biostatistics,
epidemiology, and health services research at Chicago.
His research
involves
statistical computation, design and analysis
of clinical trials and epidemiologic
studies, and development of new computational
and statistical methods. His work has
appeared in the book Elements of Statistical
Computing, and in more than 90 original peer-reviewed articles.
Thisted is a Fellow of both
the American Statistical Association
and the American Association for
the Advancement of
Science. |
