Yoonsang is a doctoral
student in Biostatistics at the University of Illinois
at Chicago, and a Research Assistant at the UIC Institute
of
Health Research and Policy. She received her Bachelor degree
in Applied Statistics from Chung-Ang University, South
Korea, Master of Public Health from Seoul National University,
South Korea, and Master of Science in Biostatistics from
University of Iowa, Iowa.
Her research focus in the doctoral
program is on longitudinal
data analysis and multilevel modeling. She is currently
working on her dissertation regarding analysis of
asbestos fibers
incorporating non-constant variance and between-laboratories
variation under the guidance of Dr. Dulal Bhaumik.
She
has been involved in several collaborative projects
at UIC, including
Smoking-related TV Advertising and Adult Smoking in
the U.S., Evaluation of the Medication Therapy Management
Program, a
Multimedia Education Program for Diabetes Patients,
and
Prevalence of Primary Brain Tumors in the U.S.
Her research interests
include generalized linear mixed-effects models, frailty
models, and Bayesian semiparametric mixed-effects
models.
