Award Dates: 10/10/2019 – 9/29/2022
Direct Sponsor: Northwestern University
Prime Sponsor: Blue Cross Blue Shield Assoc (BCBS)

Goal: To reduce community violence in high risk populations.

B-SNIP: Algorithmic Diagnostics for Efficient Prescription of Treatments (ADEPT)

R01MH124805
Award Dates:
7/1/2021 – 6/30/2022
Direct Sponsor: Natl Inst of Mental Health (NIMH)

Goal: To develop a stepwise algorithm that will allow for targeting of specific treatments based on
specific neurobiological features.

Adaptive Testing of Cognitive Function based on multi-dimensional Item Response Theory

R56 AG066127-01
Award Dates: 9/15/2019 – 8/31/2022
Direct Sponsor: Natl Inst on Aging (NIA)

Goal: To develop a new computerized adaptive test (CAT) to assess cognitive function that is based on recent advances in multidimensional item response theory (MIRT).

Harnessing Computerized Adaptive Testing, Transdiagnostic Theories of Suicidal Behavior, and Machine Learning to Advance the Emergent Assessment of Suicidal Youth (EASY)

R01MH100155
Award Dates: 7/12/2018 – 3/31/2022
Direct Sponsor: University of Pittsburgh
Prime Sponsor: Natl Inst of Mental Health (NIMH)

Bipolar-Schizophrenia Network for Intermediate Phenotypes 2 (B-SNIP 2)

R01MH103366
Award Dates: 7/1/2015 – 3/31/2020
Direct Sponsor: University of Georgia
Prime Sponsor: Natl Inst of Mental Health (NIMH)

Goal: Our collaborative group (called B-SNIP) developed a psychosis classification scheme (which we called
Biotypes) using biological measures that was superior to DSM diagnoses for capturing neurobiological
similarities and differences. In this project, we will extend this work to refine our neurobiological Biotype
definitions, characterize unique molecular and genetic features of the Biotypes, and demonstrate differentiate
treatment effectiveness of clozapine for Biotype-1, which will be an important step toward a more personalized
medicine approach for psychiatry

A New Statistical Paradigm for Measuring Psychopathology Dimensions in Youth

R01MH100155
Award Dates: 9/23/2013 – 4/30/2019
Direct Sponsor: Natl Inst of Health (NIH)

Goal: To develop a CAT for children and adolescents (K-CAT) that provides dimensional severity scores for
depression, mania, anxiety, disruptive behavioral disorders (DBDs), and attention-deficit/hyperactivity.
